Hey Hey Hey-
Karla and I had a great time this weekend. I did not have a chance to visit with everyone, however, it was good to see our old classmates. Mike Bowden did a super job, and all who helped should be commended. Maybe in 5 years we can do it again.

Call it ego or whatever you wish, but I can not let the chance pass to post note # 69. Oh, what a wonderful number and a great year to remember. Oh yeah, we did just celebrate the 40th anniversery of that epic time.

Just wanted again to thank all who came for making the reunion so pleasent and joyous a memory for me. Hope that you got as much from the weekend as you all added to my wonderous experience.

Bless each and all who attended and also those unable to make the scene. Those not able to attend have all added so much with your postings, that your spirit was felt at all activities and events. Thank you for staying on the message board with all of your comments and encouragements. Let's try and all be there in 5 years and do it up right. Again.

Hard arm, out of state and keep on truckin',

SOME FANTASTIC FEEDBACK FOR THE REUNION COMMITTEE from Rebecca Wells.....

I emailed privately with Becky Wells and she says she has been to many, many reunions and this one was by far the best one she has been to!!!
So, that's feedback with some benchmarks we didn't have.

This was of course my first one - but I can't imagine how I could have had a better time. I started out thinking that three days of events would just be too much - but it definitely was not.

As the photographer, next time I would recommend catching everyone as they were coming in the door so that you are sure you get a picture of every person. In the hit or miss style I chose -it was a little too casual...but honestly I didn't want to spoil the mood. if I missed someone or a group photo you now wish we had -I sincerely apologize. I am the biggest pain in the neck to my family always snapping pictures - but they still love me at the end of the day. So I hope you do too. The method I used turned out to be a less than perfect strategy since in addition to looking older and older - I had a hard time remembering who I snapped and who I didn't. I took 180 Pictures.

I am thinking about starting a reunion photo business as kind of a retirement job...so if you have any other recommendation for me, please email me - I promise to take it as constructive.

I appreciate everything everyone did to make this, at least for me, the perfect reunion - especially you Mike for your leadership - herding cats is not an easy job. They say behind every great leader - is a wonderful woman...that would be you Rea!!! Thanks for getting the USB drive back to me so quickly.

Thanks again to all and stay safe & healthy until we meet again. If you are interested - in about a month I will be posting pictures from Indonesia...that is where I am headed in just a few days.

I would have to echo all of the thoughts and comments that I have just read. This past weekend was great! The chance to see old friends and remember the days of our youth was absolutely wonderful. It was a real thrill to see all of you, visit and find out what you were doing. We really should do this again in five years.

To all of you who helped plan this, kudos of the highest order are due you. I would not trade the experience or the memories for anything. God bless you all and I hope to see you at our next reunion.

Dang Cheryl!
Linda visited for the weekend and brought the Powerpoint. It rolled over the whole time. What an incredible job you did! We have never enjoyed anything as much. Even Michael, who knows only a few, could not get enough of it.
Well done my friend. Sorry I had to miss the fun.

Hey--BB,
You are so elussive. I looked under and behind all rocks, trees and '66 Mustangs in all of Paris and never was able to find you. Next Reunion I hope that there is not a Hide-and-Seek game (and you were named 2009 Champion) but a game of tag. With tag, everyone will get a chance at your smile. May the days be gentle and the nights cool.

With each day that passed since 4-25-09 I have rememberd a bit more about 1967/1969 than I ever have since those days. I wish to thank all who contributed to stirring up my past.

Sid

Here's a bonus for your listening pleasue. Enjoy and remember the Axe Masters

To everyone who attended the reunion: Thanks so much for coming! Can't remember when or if I have had a better time than I did those 3 days. Butch, make no mistake about the cooking for Friday night, Mike Sanders was the "CHEF" and Mike Bowden and I merely followed orders. Coordinating that much food and getting it all done, warm and tasty by meal time, took great planning and great skills--THANKS MIKE SANDERS--for the great food. I think I will save up some money to buy lots of golf balls and play in the next tournament. To everyone who did the decorating at Heritage Hall--WOW--what a great job. The auction items were outstanding and Pat, the throws (I think that is what they are called) with pictures on them--outstanding and a great idea!!! And I would like to echo everyone else's "KUDOS" to Mike Bowden for having the fortitude and skills to pull it all together. I mean, even though he has trouble explaining to numbskulls like me--what it is he does for a living-it certainly has to be about working with others because he demonstrated that skill very well.
And finally, to those who came to our house after the Saturday night party, let it be known that my sweet wife, Judy, drank Larry "the godfather" Womack completely under the table. NOTE: this was the 2nd time for Judy!!! Great times with old friends

Where are the rest of the photos? Marilyn did such a great job however what about the "thousands" well maybe "hundreds" of other photos that were taken. What must I offer..my first born..we would have to contact way too many women to make that trade...gift card to the sonic...first dance at the next reunion?

How about intimate details about who had a crush on you in high school?

Don't worry if some of your shots are not good..we will tell you that.

Please send any and all photos to bob@furnituregroup.com

Muchos Gracias and I owe you.

Thank you for your hospitality and the honor of being able to call all of you friends and classmates.

I had a wonderful weekend and many memories were relived. with those of you that were and were not present.

Thanks for taking the time to publish your photos,Chuck we know you are busy so that's why you could only share one photo.

I know there are some other photos out there. Please share them with us.Even it's just one like Charles B.

Think how happy you are going to make those people (BB) who stayed at home and didn't have a BLAST like we did.

Never hugged so many good lookin' women or laughed so hard at the stupid things we got away with.
