Glenn Johnson, who went to 1st Ward and Crockett through 1966 with us.

Glenn Leonard Johnson, 61, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at his residence.

He was born June 3, 1950, in Brainerd, Minnesota, a son of Carl and Ruth Hill Johnson. He was a forklift operator for We Pack and Rodgers-Wade and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, receiving the Air Medal for meritorious achievement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; sister, Deloris Aycock; and infant daughter, Stephanie.

Survivors include his companion of 16 years, Kathy; children, Steven Johnson and wife, Amie, Sandra Drake, Scotty Johnson and Sharon Davis and husband, Troy; seven grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Douglas Johnson and wife, Kathy; sisters, Eunice Johnson and husband, Lee, and Nell King; and numerous nieces and nephews.
