Shirley Sudduth Yates

Shirley Yates, 67, formerly of Detroit, passed away July 2, 2018, in Leesburg, Florida.

Funeral services have been set for Sunday, July 8, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., at Red River Valley Mennonite Church, with Minister Ed Yost officiating. .

Interment will follow at Red River Valley Mennonite Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the church from 7-8 p.m.

She was born on Feb. 12, 1951, in Paris, Texas, to Charles Ray and Nellie Maynard Sudduth. 

She married Paul “Butch” Yates on April 4, 1969.

She is survived her children, David Wayne Yates and wife, Charlene, John Paul Yates and wife, Shawna; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Stokes and husband, Justin, Kolton Yates, Sarah Yates, Eamon Yates; sister, Stella Robinson; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Yates; parents, Charles Ray and Nellie Sudduth; sister, Becky Sandifer; and a brother, Carl Sudduth.
