Even though Bruce and I were not married at the time of his death I was deeply sadden to know the world had lost such a wonderful and creative person.

Bruce was a friend to few in our high school years but those who shared his friendship were dear to him and knew the depth of his love for them.

I went to school in Paris my 8th grade year at Crockett and then my 9th, 10th and 11th at Paris High School before my dad was tranferred back to OK where I finished my senior year at Ponca City High School. I worked with Bruce on the Paris High Paper.  He was an awesome guy. We had such fun working together on the paper.  Along with Miss Word (who we loved and who was often in trouble with admin for not getting her attendance slips in) the news paper staff was like a special community of creative and accepting people.  One of my best memories is riding in the car with Bruce on a Saturday morning for some reason related to our journalism world and singing along with the radio as it played,  "It's a Beautiful Morning" by the Rascals. I treasure the person who Bruce was.
