Larry Floyd

Larry Wayne Floyd, 3740 Pine Mill Rd., died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 1995, at St. Joseph's Hospital & Health Center.  Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at Calvary United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gifford Long officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery by Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home.  The family will be at the home of his mother and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer L. Trapp, 3250 E. Houston St.  They will receive friends there from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.  Mr. Floyd was born Aug. 2, 1947, in Dallas, a son of M. L. Floyd and Glenna Bishop.  He was a graduate of Paris High School and Paris Junior College School of Nursing.  He worked at St. Joseph's Hospital, THE PARIS NEWS, and the Cobbler Shop.  He served in the U.S. Air Force in 1971.  He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and the Paris Elks Lodge.  He married Linda Dickerson July 18, 1969.  Surviving are his wife; his mother and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer L. Trapp of Paris; his father, M. L. Floyd of Dallas; four brothers, Robert Trapp and Johnny Trapp, both of Paris, and Curtis and Richard Floyd of Dallas; a sister, Debbie White of Dallas; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and his wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Dickerson of Paris.  Named as pallbearers are Larry Buster, Johnny Powell, Gary Floyd, David Broyles, Steve Jackson and Don Armstrong."
