Roger Hignight

Tues., May 23, 1978:  "Funeral services for Roger A. Hignight, 27, of 1841 Maple Ave. have been set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Leverett-Steele-Thomas Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery at Deport.  The family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home, following rosary, which will be recited at 6:30 p.m.  Mr. Hignight was born Dec. 23, 1950, in Oakland, Calif., son of O. E. Hignight and Catherine (Forcier) Hignight. He was a member of the Catholic church. He graduated from Paris High School in 1969 and attended Paris Junior College. He served in the U.S. Air Force 1970 to 1974.  Survivors include his parents of Paris; a grandmother, Mrs. Maude Forcier of Santa Rosa, Calif.; one brother, Larry E. Hignight of Sacramento, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Marlene Rorison and Mrs. Linda Cassell, both of Redding, Calif.  Mr. Hignight died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at his home.

Roger's passing was tragic. He was a good friend and a very fine person. He had a great sense of humor.
