Feb. 1, 1993,  "James R. Monk (Jim), 41, of Plano died Sun., Jan. 31, at his home.  Gene Roden's Sons to hold graveside services at 2 p.m. Tue., Feb. 2, with Dr. Raymond Armstrong.  Born in Paris, a son of Charles Edwin & Gloria Wanda Barlett Monk, he was employed as a national fleet coordinator for Reliable Chevrolet in Richardson.  He attended Paris High School, Paris Junior College & East Texas State University.  He had served in the Army & was a member of the First Christian Church.  Surviving are his mother & stepfather, Wanda & Bob Hutsell of Paris; his father of Harlingen. a son, Jamie Monk of Pittsburgh, PA; a sister, Wendy Ausmus of Dallas; 2 brothers, Charles & Shane Monk of Harlingen; a grandmother, Mrs. Sam Monk of Deport."
