Mary “Sue” Stevens Daugherty, 74 of Paris, passed away January 31, 2026.

A graveside service has been set for Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 11:00 am at Union Grove Cemetery in Reno with Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating.

Sue was born in Dallas, Texas on September 7, 1951 to Vernon and Evelyn Shumate Stevens.  She married Dennis Daugherty on June 13, 1986 in Paris, Texas. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 44 years, having retired in that capacity from the State of Texas. Sue loved to go to the Casino and loved to play golf with the Pine Ridge Golf Club ladies group.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Daugherty; step-daughter, Kristi Sanders of Paris; grandson, Korbin Day of Paris; great-grandson, Roman Collins of Tyler; nephew, David Stevens and wife Kathy of Aledo; great-niece, Kyla; great-nephew, Donovyn; sister-in-law, Hilda Willliams and husband Rockey.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arvie Stevens and wife Gayle.
