I can't believe that Melissa is gone!!!!  I haven't looked at this site in quite a while, but apparently I should make the effort more frequently!  Melissa and I go back to Junior High School when we met one summer when she and Mary Jane and Charles came to visit the Gutherie's.  Mary Jane and my mother, Maribelle, were very close friends which meant that Melissa and I felt very close to each other, especially after her mother passed away!  She was at my mother's funeral as was Charles Kennedy, her brother.  I only a year ago heard about his death in a car accident.

My deepest sympathies go out to Pam and Sandra Gutherie.  Pam was there at the hospital for me, as were her parents, Jimmy and Peggy.  I hope that Pam and Sandra see this, as I think of them and their parents often.

Rest in Peace my dear friend.  You will be missed.
