I remained at home with my kids until I was 35 and then begin teaching at Paris High. I teach Honors World History and Government. This is my 30th year to teach!! I coached the cheerleaders for 18 years.
As of June 4, 2016, I am now retired from teaching after 30 years! A long hard decision, but took a leap of faith. I have been hired as Children's Dir. & Family Programs at 1st United Meth. Church. I am very excited about this new journey. As of May 2018, I have been working full time for Jeff C. Starnes, Attorney... love this work, in my study wheelhouse. I still maintain my job with the church... so much for retirement!!
Both our children are now married and we have a grandson, Caden, that just turned 14.Grandaughter Chelbi was born on past St.Patrick's Day, 2009, and she will be 11 this year! They are both the children of our daughter, Brandi.
On Sept. 4, 2015, I lost my husband, Christie, after 43 years of marriage. This has been a difficult past 5 years with his illness and passing.
